No, I can’t resist this – wonderful “walkable” looks from US Vogue!
There have always been so few styles that I could wear everyday, because what I need as a walking mom doesn’t look particularly glamorous: I need flat shoes, comfort and spare clothes (I can shed while walking, then put on again while waiting for my son to finish up in the playground). And yes, I need comfortable pieces, walking shoes and large bags…
It seemed to be mission impossible for Vogue. Until now 🙂
Razor’s Edge: Sasha Pivovarova by David Sims for US Vogue Jan ’14
Sasha Pivovarova stars in a shoot for US Vogue wearing pretty spring tones including designs by Marni, Celine, Jil Sander, Marc Jacobs and more. I love every single look here! The Prada and Marni sandals are totally ‘walkable’, plus those lovely transparent layers. So moms, here’s some inspiration for the long-awaited spring!
I totally love the colors, as well as the transparency of the skirt which leaves the legs nearly naked. Very ‘walkable’!
Pink is ‘in’ for spring! Just look at this naked shoulder. Very brave indeed!
Self-confident and independent. Transparent skirt again 😉
Popping on a skirt and a t-shirt is easy. But how to wear them without looking boring? Grab an edgy bag and don some platform sandals!
French charm is here. I wonder if a little pink backpack would harm the look?
And yeah, it’s a very ‘walkable’ look, and I love the bag again! I have plenty like it actually 🙂
My only hope of dressing like this is to wait for chains like Zara or Mango to get their cheaper versions of these wonderful designer pieces onto the racks. Then I can get a dress that looks $2,000 for a song 🙂
