A Typical Woman’s Morning
Listen carefully. You might just hear it. ‘Creak…sigh, creak…sigh, creak…sigh’.
What is it? It’s the sound of millions of women all over the world, opening their jam-packed wardrobes and thinking ‘I have nothing to wear’.
A typical morning might look something like this:
- rifle through everything you own
- throw various combinations on the bed
- half try on a few things before going back to what you had pulled out first
- look at your watch and panic
A Mom’s Right To a Cool Wardrobe
Sound familiar? Or maybe that used to be you. Now you’re a mom, you don’t really have the luxury of time anymore! That’s why we’ve put together some fashion faves that will look fabulous on any new mom. It’s time to get out of those jeans and t-shirts – just because you’re a mom now, doesn’t mean you can’t still look amazing!
Just as Sarah Jessica Parker says, “fashion isn’t a luxury, it’s a right”.
Fashion for the Fearless
Fashionable, figure-shaping and…comfortable? It’s not such an unlikely combination! Just pair some funky leggings with a baggy t-shirt and a cropped jacket to look and feel great. And for a more glamorous evening look, just slip out of your trainers and into a pair of heels – simple!
If you’re not quite daring enough for such bold patterns, don’t worry! We’ve got some classic looks that add a touch of class to everyday staples. I bet you never realised shorts and a top could look so elegant!
Sporty Chic for Moms
I love this style. Chic, comfortable and versatile – what every new mom wants! I’m prepared for just about anything a full day can throw at me – leggings, skirt, swimsuit, cycling gloves, sun visor. I’m wearing flats but I’ve got heels in my bag. BTW I love camera bags because of their size and unmatched organizing abilities!
Add a touch of floaty, feminine chic to your wardrobe with beautiful dresses and jazzy jumpsuits. Easy to switch from casual to dressy, these are a must for any new mom’s wardrobe.
See how easy it can be? Now go; have fun with fashion!
Tips for Fashion Moms
Here are some more tips that got me through my first few months of being a mom – and beyond!
- Use fabric that doesn’t wrinkle:
jersey, stretch, fine cotton, wool or velvet work great (do you really have time for ironing? )
- Switch looks:
if you need to go out in the evening but don’t have time to go home first, grab a little bag, a scarf or jewellery, and high-heels and pop them into your stroller. Instant glam!
- Wear layers:
a leggings/skirt combo is great for walking – and working out – even in the middle of the city.
