If you ask what people believe influence the weight loss, many would reply: DIET some would say: WEIGHT LOSS PILLS and the rest would announce: EXERCISES. What about Moms – how can we cope with this trend – to be slim – and stay healthy?
Weight loss pills – never for moms
Of course NO. Never for new moms. Taking weight loss pills is dangerous unless your doctor has prescribed them. Usually these pills break a precious balance in the body and often mind.Taking vitamins and food supplements is the only thing acceptable for new moms. However, before taking any “beauty” pills, please visit your doctor.
Our body is a temple, fragile but very intelligent. Any interference, especially in the form of weight loss pills, brings damages. Avoid it. Don’t harm yourself. Stay loving yourself and taking care of your body.
Going on a diet doesn’t work for moms
The only diet that works is to eat less.
But starvation for a new mom – it’s something that should never happen. Another thing is a mom who keeps a diet while breastfeeding. It is done not to harm a baby, and it has nothing to do with eating less for weight loss.
Being on a diet, we put our body in stress. Stress is actually burning the calories. Stress is the ultimate fat burner. When stress from trying a new diet is over, compensation comes. That’s why all diets end up in putting on more weight.
You will end up by looking for a new diet to lose extra weight gained after the diet (I call it after-the-diet syndrome – putting on some extra lbs).
I know some new moms, who have stopped breastfeeding and chosen a combination of pills and diets and ended up very badly: one with harsh depression, another with disorders in her metabolism. I support natural approach, that does not harm but brings pleasure, satisfaction and health.
Exercising and doing sport is good in all respect. And it’s a good way to get slim.
But Moms have another reality: ultimate lack of time and opportunities. Going to a gym is a challenge, as moms need time to squeeze a workout and have extra budget to pay a baby sitter.
The opportunity going to a gym may cause time-pressure stress for a mom. Face it – working out in the gym and thinking about your little one and all these hours you’re sacrificing – can be a torture.
I was among those who could not afford going to the gym and leaving a baby with anyone. I was determined to do sport. The only way I could do it – was together with my baby.
